Automatic transfer switch for Diesel Generators

AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCHES

The Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) has a control cable of 5 meters connecting the generator's electronic panel to the ATS. It is advised that the ATS does not exceed 5 meters from the Electrical Distribution Board and the Generator. The ATS is installed with a trickle charger allowing the battery to be fully charged for when the generator is needed.

The ATS must be sized correctly for the generator set and the main incoming Amperage. This is to ensure that when the incoming mains power is on that the ATS box can handle it. If this is done incorrectly, the ATS will overheat and cease to function correctly. Hence the sizing of the ATS should be done by a professional taking into account the Mains incoming power and the Generator output when being used.

The key on the generator has to be in the "On" position for the automatic change over switch to work. The automatic change over switch does not charge the battery so should the key be left in the on position the battery will go flat, if the generator is not used on a regular basis, and for this reason must always be installed with a trickle charger.

Bundu Power ATS's can be fitted to all Diesel Generators sold by Bundu Power. Sizes will vary according to the various applications and generator being used.
