GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

On the 26 November 2009, was the Certificate of Attendance Award Ceremony for MAD Domestic watch where 1200 Domestics and Gardeners received recognition for being apart of the MAKING A DIFFERENCE initiative within Johannesburg.

Together with police officers and security company staff, hundreds filled the hall and ended their successful year in song and dance. The domestic workers and a handful of gardeners from Beaulieu Estate, Bedfordview, Craighall Park, Dunkeld, Gallo Manor, Houghton, Hurlingham, Kelvin, Buccleuch, Parkmore, Parkview, Sun Valley, Parktown West, Parkton North, Saxonwold, Morningside, Linbro and Linden received certificates for attending the MAD classes.

MAD – started by an inspirational woman – Penny Steyn - is a course for all domestic workers and gardeners which encourages staying alert within the household. This plays a vital part in keeping the workers and their employers safe.

We at BUNDU POWER are proud to have been a part of this end of year celebration by donated two (2) PETROL IG6000 GENERATORS for the Lucky Draw.

In Penny Steyns own words – "Two people nearly fainted when they received these gifts! "
