Privacy Policy & POPIA

This Notice explains how we collect, retain, use and disclose your personal information, as is required by the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

At Bundu Power we are committed to protecting your privacy and to ensuring that your personal information is collected, retained, used and disclosed properly, lawfully and transparently.

2. What information we collect

2.1. We collect and process your personal information mainly to provide you with access to our services and products, to help us improve our offerings to you and to effectively meet your needs.
2.2. We collect information directly from you, for example when you make enquiries or contact us. Where possible, we will inform you what information you are required to provide to us and what information is optional.

3. How we use your information

3.1. We will use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected for as agreed with you, for example to provide our products or services to you.
3.2. We will also use your personal information to comply with legal and regulatory requirements or industry codes to which we subscribe or which apply to us.
3.3. We shall not retain your information for any longer than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which the information was collected or processed.

4. Disclosure & Safeguarding of Information

4.1. We may disclose your personal information to our service providers who are involved in the delivery of products or services to you. We have agreements in place to ensure that they comply with the POPI Act.

4.2. We may also disclose your information where we have a duty or a right to disclose in terms of law or industry codes.

4.3. We aim to safeguard the privacy of your information and we hold personal information in a combination of secure computer storage facilities, paper-based files and other records. We have security policies and procedures in place, which cover physical security, computer and network security, access controls, and retention and disposal of information.

5. Your Rights & Complaints

5.1. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
5.2. You have a right at any time, and on reasonable grounds, to object the processing of your personal information.
5.3. You have the right to ask us to update, correct or delete your personal information.
5.4. If you have any complaints regarding our processing of your personal information, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
