We specify DeepSea load-sharing controllers exclusively for synchronising work: the DSE8610 MKII for multi-generator paralleling, the DSE8620 MKII where a single set must synchronise with mains (and can later be reconfigured for multi-set duty), and the DSE8660 MKII to manage transfer between the generator bus and the utility supply.

When Paralleling Makes Sense — and When It Does Not

  • Redundancy during servicing is a operational requirement
  • Multiple smaller sets are easier to site than one very large unit

Limitations to plan for

  • Load must be balanced across running units — poor load sharing increases wear
  • Protection and load-sharing configuration require experienced paralleling engineers on site
