Solar Pressure Pumps FAQ

Pressure Pump Information

Yes, our solar pressure pumps can be used for irrigation. However, we would require your specific flow rate and pressure requirements to be able to size the pump correctly for your setup.

No, these solar pumps are not supplied with pressure vessels and pressure switches out of the box. However, pressure switches and flow control modules can be easily added to the system upon installation.

This needs to be calculated manually on a case-by-case basis. There are a few major factors affecting push distance, such as the total elevation difference (head), pipe size, pipe friction loss, and the specific pump size.

There is no direct answer to this without more data. You would need to determine the type of irrigation used (drip, sprinkler, center pivot, etc.) as well as the exact pressure and volume requirements of that system before we can size the pump correctly for your land.

No, this is not a submersible pump. It is a surface pump and needs to remain dry. It is highly recommended to install this pump under cover, protected from direct water, rain, and extreme elements.

You can run the pump without the sensors when using it for standard circulation or irrigation. However, you must ensure a constant water supply, because running this pump dry will cause severe damage to the internal components.
